Director of Service

Tinu is an experienced social worker who has experience in child protection and fostering services.  Tinu also practises as an independent social worker completing fostering assessment for new foster carers.  She is passionate about advocating and making changes in the lives of young people and their families. She has worked in many other sectors within social care and has worked with; adults with mental health, children with disabilities and was a youth leader for her local church. Outside of work, Tinu is a minister and an active leader in her church where one of her many roles is to teach young children in the children Sunday school.

Tinu’s drive to open Redefine Living stemmed from wanting to do more outside of her social work role.

“As a social worker I have worked with so many children and young people and I want to make a difference in their lives.  I believe that the ages 16-18 are some pivotal years in a person’s life and as such the transition to adulthood should be handled delicately, particularly with those who have experienced trauma and abuse. The aim of Redefine Living is to give a new definition to the way young people live their lives, This is the mandate that we go by to ensure that we work in the best way possible.”

Tinu enjoys going shopping, cooking,  going to the gym and spending time with her friends and family.
